UMBC and University of Maryland School of Medicine receive $13.7M NIH FIRST grant to increase faculty diversity

UMBC and the University of Maryland School of Medicine (UMSOM) have received a five-year, $13.7 million grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to enhance recruitment and training of junior faculty from groups underrepresented in biomedical science.
